Happy Friday, and we hope you're having a great summer so far. Here is your weekly Ambassador update:

HTML EMAIL AND MORE COMING NEXT WEEK TO eEDGE

HTML optimized email designs will be available in eEdge on July 22. This allows your email marketing to be even more effective because:

• Consumers don’t need to have images enabled to see the content of the email.
• You’ll experience increased deliverability for all emails to consumers’ inboxes.
• Designs will look great in most smartphones and devices. The HTML adjusts the design based on device size/type.

Additional features you'll notice in eEdge on July 22 include:

• A link to your KW mobile app URL will automatically be inserted into the footer of your email marketing designs.
• "Warm" and "Cold" contact statuses will replace "Active" and "Inactive." 
• When searching for contacts, you'll have the option of searching for contacts that are not assigned to a group.

"MASTER YOUR KW MOBILE APP" WORKSHOP CONTEST 

Make sure every agent in your Market Center is using their own branded mobile app by teaching a new 1-hour workshop in your Market Center. You could win a "Share Your App" t-shirt signed by Gary Keller and KWRI executives! Want to win? Here's how:

1. Download the workshop materials from the KWU website.
2. Schedule and deliver the workshop in your Market Center.
3. After the workshop, create a brief video that includes testimonials or “takeaways” from at least three workshop participants.
4. Share the video with us at ambassadors@kw.com. Videos must be received no later than 11:59 pm (ET) on Friday, August 14.
5. We will randomly select a winner from all of the videos submitted and announce the winner at the MC Tech/Ambassador Special Session at Mega Camp (August 19, 9-11 AM). 

NOTES:

• Winner does not need to be present to win.
• If you deliver the workshop more than once during the contest period, you may submit a video for each workshop for multiple chances to win.

"UNBRAND" YOUR MOBILE APP

Do you teach agents in your Market Center how to use their mobile app? Is your KW mobile app branded to an agent? Do you no longer want to be branded to that agent so you can start your training class with a "blank slate?" In order to reset your app to the generic Keller Williams Realty franchise branding, go to http://app.kw.com/kw/ on your mobile device and follow the instructions to download the app. 

If you already have the app downloaded, you can still follow the instructions and it should “re-brand” your app to the generic branding. If it doesn’t work, delete the app and follow the instructions again to re-download the app. 

UPLOAD A MAILING LIST IN eEDGE
Available now in eEdge, you have the option of uploading a mailing list so you can send relevant, targeted direct mail pieces to your sphere or farm. Targeted direct mail campaigns are a great way to generate more leads for your real estate business. Key to your success is finding a good targeted list and providing the relevant information to get consumers to your website so you can turn them into clients. Learn more in today's KW Technology Ambassador webinar.

New Features in eEdge!

Happy Friday! We hope you've been having a great week and staying dry! Here is your weekly Ambassador update:

NEW FEATURES IN eEDGE

As of June 17, the following features are available in eEdge:

• Activity Alert Updates: Update your activity alert preferences and never miss an alert! You can now choose what alerts you want to receive, including two new alert types:
1. New email from a non-contact
2. New recommendation on your website (Pro only)
• Reply-to Email Address: Instead of using your Marketing Email Address as the “From” address in your marketing emails, it will now be included only as the “Reply to” address. Your “From” address is now your eEdge system email address. We are making this change because some email services use the “From” address to help identify emails as spam. By matching the “From” address to the sending servers we will be increasing email deliverability to these email providers. This change will result in more of your emails making it to your contacts’ inboxes while allowing you to still receive replies to your preferred email address.
• Mobile App Download URL in eEdge Profile Settings: Your unique mobile app download URL is now visible in your eEdge Profile Settings so that it can be easily added to the footer of your email marketing pieces.

And coming soon:

• HTML-Optimized Email: myMarketing will soon include templates and campaigns created using full HTML. There are many advantages to HTML optimized designs:
• Consumers don’t need to have images enabled to see the text of the email.
• Increased deliverability for all emails to the consumers’ inboxes.
• Designs will look great in most smartphones and devices. The HTML adjusts the design based on device size/type.
• Both text and images can be hyperlinked.

Increase Learning and Engage Participants with Tell, Show, Do

HOW TO INCREASE LEARNING AND ENGAGE PARTICIPANTS
Think about the training classes you've facilitated. For every class you've taught, you can categorize all of the class activities into two basic categories:

1. Stuff that the Instruction or Instructor does
2. Stuff that the Learner does

According to a recent eLearningIndustry post by Joel Gardner, PhD, within each of the above categories there are four basic strategies for creating excellent instruction: Tell, Show, Do and Apply.

While often overlooked, the most important strategy is Apply; everyone benefits when the students leave the class with tasks completed! 

On today's webinar, we'll discuss tactics for applying these to your daily training activities.

BRANDED LISTING PHOTOS AND SYNDICATION

Does your listing
look like this?

Zillow has been cracking down on branded photos—and they have the right to do so. Their terms of use prohibit you from creating advertising in your photos. While many trainers have encouraged branding of photos—what we have seen lately is not just branded photos but photos that look more like business cards, where the picture of the home is secondary to the agent’s contact information. 

We are working to protect the copyright of our agents’ photos and will hopefully have an agreement to enable KW agents to watermark photos. But right now, to prevent photos and listings from being removed, we recommend you and your agents remove your branding.

It's easier than ever to share your app!

NEW MOBILE APP TRAINING VIDEO TO SHARE IN YOUR MARKET CENTER

The KW Realty Real Estate Search app been downloaded 889,948 times. Yet, still only 41 percent of those apps are branded to an agent. That means 59 percent of the consumers with the generic Keller Williams franchise app may end up working with an agent outside of KW.

We've updated our training video showing you how easy it is to share your app with your Mets and Haven't Mets. Share this video in your Market Center!

LEARN TO USE GOOGLE MY ACCOUNT

Today, we are constantly connected, making control over our digital privacy and security even more important. With this in mind, Google recently launched a single hub where you can manage your Google account data.

My Account, which replaces the previous Google Account settings page, features sections dedicated to managing your sign-in and security settings, personal info and privacy settings, and account preferences. Below are just some of the things you can do with My Account:

• Take the Privacy Checkup and Security Checkup, two simple, step-by-step guides for reviewing and editing your personal privacy and security settings.
• Manage the information that can be used from Search, Maps, YouTube, and other products to enhance your experience on Google.
• Control which apps and sites are connected to your account.
