It includes a new Contact Search Bar that allows you to easily search for contacts by name, email, or phone number - no matter where you are in the system. The Contact Search Bar's auto-complete functionality makes finding your contacts faster than ever.

EASIER ACCESS TO WEEKLY TECHNOLOGY WEBINARS
Not only are your eEdge contacts easier to find, so are the weekly technology webinars we offer. We've updated the myKW.kw.com > Technology page to include links to all of our Monday webinars as well as the recorded webinars. Encourage your associates to visit this page and register for any or all series - just once registration per series takes care of the whole year!

On January 15, we announced that all members of the KW Technology Community may use kwVideo at no charge until June (see blog). On today's webinar, you'll learn how to use kwVideo to promote training in your Market Center as well as in your real estate business.

Make Your Database Work for You

Happy Friday, everyone! Here is this week's update and a preview of what we'll discuss on today's KW Technology Community webinar.

MAKE YOUR DATABASE WORK FOR YOU
There are three truths about contact databases:
  1. A powerful database produces leads.
  2. A powerful database managed by a powerful schedule produces a predictable flow of leads.
  3. A only with a predictable flow of leads can you expect a predictable flow of business.
This means that the size of your database will impact the size of your bank account. With this in mind, consider these tips for making your database work for you.
  • Get the right CRM. A Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) makes it easier to manage your client relationships. Important features in a CRM include simplicity, ease of integration with existing tools, mobile access, and analytics.
  • Determine how you'll organize your database. In your CRM, create placeholders for the various categories or groups into which you’ll organize all of your contacts. Doing so allows you to send targeted, relevant communications to each of the audiences (based on demographic/interest) in your database.
  • Put every contact in your database. Add contacts from every source—phone, email, spreadsheets, business cards, sticky notes, receipts, you name it. Then, purge duplicates and invalid contacts. Remember: garbage in/garbage out.
  • Create a schedule to nurture your database. Your database isn’t just a book of names, it’s a book of your relationships, which are alive and need nurturing. Like a garden, your database needs to be tended to, pruned, weeded, and fed. Make it a habit to interact with your database in a meaningful way every day.
  • Feed your database every day. Make it a habit to add every new contact immediately to your database and put them on a relevant touch campaign. You should also be asking for business and referrals from your existing database. This is the benefit of having a mobile CRM. Constantly lead generate to acquire good, healthy contacts.

Walter is the eEdge Product Manager and moderates the eEdge Product Advisory Group, which was created to fuel innovation and improve the CRM product that we offer KW associates. New Year and New Technology Webinar Schedule

Happy Friday and Happy New Year! We hope 2016 is off to a great start for you. We're excited to bring you this week's update:

WANT A CAREER IN TRAINING?
If you're already facilitating technology workshops, Ignite, or other classes in your Market Center, we encourage you to explore the path to joining the KWU Faculty as a certified KWU Approved Trainer

KWU Approved Trainers have the opportunity to train in any Region to which they are invited. They are marketed on the KWU website and are invited to faculty program events. Becoming certified means that a trainer has met KWU’s high standards and is recognized by Regional leadership for their talent as a trainer. It also means that KWU is confident that a trainer can deliver KWU courses in an engaging and effective environment so that the lessons can immediately be applied to associates’ businesses and lives.

Join today's KW Technology Community webinar to learn more about this opportunity with Dawn Wood, KWU Faculty and Program Manager.

IGNITE RELAUNCH STARTS JANUARY 11!
Next Monday, January 11, marks the launch of KWU's new and improved fundamental course for agents: Ignite.

Because many of you have taught Ignite in your Market Centers, we want you to be aware of how the new version is different:
  • Faculty days are reduced from 20 to 12.
  • Throughout the 4 weeks of Ignite:
    • Power Sessions are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
    • Mission days (student pre-work/homework/self-study/group work) is done on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • The Ignite web page is redesigned for easy student and faculty access to all course materials, videos, and toolkits.
As technology experts, you can be invaluable to your Market Center's "Cappers in Training" (that's what we're calling students in Ignite these days), by helping them leverage technology to complete their missions.

Join today's KW Technology Community webinar to learn more and ask questions.
